Refund & Cancellation Policy

Website development projects usually comprise two components: Web Design and Web Development. Web design includes the initial website mockup and layout design. Web development includes CMS/Blog implementation, e-commerce solution, and custom PHP/ASP/JSP coding.

You are entitled to get 100% refund of the upfront payment you made (if any) in the event of:

  • You are not satisfied with initial design mockup.
  • We didn’t start your project at all or we’re unable to start soon.
  • We are unable to complete the project as per the project’s specifications.
  • You want to cancel the project within 24 hours of making payment.

No refund will be given if:

  • You have already approved the design mockup.
  • The project delays are caused by lack of communication from your end.

However, we care for your privacy & for long term relations. Therefore, keeping it in view, we at Build My Website believe in helping all customers as far as possible, and have consequently prepared a thoughtful refund and cancellation policy. There may arise some case of customer dissatisfaction due to a few reasons. In case of dissatisfaction from our services, clients have the liberty to cancel their projects and request for a refund from us. Our Policy for the cancellation and refund will be as follows:

Cancellation Policy

  • Domain Name Registration Services: Once you have purchase your Domain Name, you are its owner and it cannot be “cancelled” until the duration of the domain term has expired. Domain names are controlled worldwide by Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN ) organization and we do not have any control over it.
  • Cancellation of service renewals for an on-going website promotion, website hosting or domain registration services must be made at least seven (7) business days prior to the end of the current service period.
  • Requests received later than seven (7) business days prior to the end of the current service period will be treated as cancellation of services for the next service period.
  • No cancellations requests are entertained for those services that Build My Website had offered on promotional offer / special occasions or Discount period. These are limited occasion offers by the company and hence cancellations are not possible in any conditions.
  • Build My Website also reserves the rights to cancel your account any time without any notice and refund.

Refund Policy

  • We will try our level best to offer quality services that meet our client’s requirements.
  • In case, any client is not completely satisfied with our services we can provide a refund. All refunds will take maximum of 7- 10 working days depending on your bank to process and it will be refunded in your account either by Account Credits or direct deposit in your bank account.
  • If paid by credit card, refunds will be issued to the original credit card provided at the time of purchase and in the case of Payment Gateway Name payments refund will be made to the same Bank account.
  • Domain Name Registration / Domain Transfer or other domain related services is NOT refundable. Once you purchase your Domain Name, you are its owner and it cannot be “returned” until the duration of the domain term has expired.
  • Only first-time accounts are eligible for a refund. For example, if you’ve had an account with us before, canceled and signed up again, you will not be eligible for a refund or if you have opened a second account with us.
  • There are no refunds on dedicated servers, administrative fees, install fees for custom software, or domain name purchases. Refund requests for shared and reseller accounts after the initial Thirty (30) days non-conditional money back period will be refunded on a prorated basis of any unused time.
  • Taxes can’t be refunded by us as they are deposited directly at the end of each month, however it might be possible to reclaim those directly from the government.

Once a new application regarding the design, development & optimization is accepted and approved, the Candidacy begins the date the application fee was processed. The client then has the application designing feature list & time quote from the date the application fee was processed.
We endeavor to assist small to mid-sized businesses to develop a web presence. However, we are not a credit, web design & development company. Only after taking the initial/advance payment, we start your work.

For Overseas Payment Guidelines

  • All payments must be in United States Dollars ($US).
  • Payments are accepted using Bank Transfer, Western Union, MoneyGram, Paypal, payable to Software.
  • Certifications & payment gateways.
  • Credit card payments are accepted using Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • Program fees are not refundable.
  • Program fees are not transferable.
  • All fees are subject to change.

Filing a complaint

  • Build My Website believes that every project starts with a finished project in mind. Therefore, all possible attempts of amicably working out a mutually acceptable solution should be a priority in case of unsatisfactory service. A refund is the last resort that may be taken when things are not working out.

  • Refund claims should only be filed if we are unable to come to a mutually satisfactory solution.

Eligibility for Refund

  • Build My Website takes every project very seriously and ensures that the same is handled professionally and the client gets the result as per the terms and conditions of the proposal. However, if the client is not happy with the outcome and has gone through the dispute resolution process, we do consider refund requests as per the following schedule which lists the services and our refund policy related to each service.

Delivery Time

  • Full refund if a project has not been initiated or if the initial design style is not approved.
  • If we fail to deliver as per our delivery policy after the initial design style is approved, then we will issue a partial refund as per the proportion of the work completed.
  • If we have completed the project and uploaded it on the server, no refunds will be issued.

Logo Design/Brochure Design

  • Full refund if a project has not been initiated or if the initial design style is not approved.
  • If we fail to deliver as per our delivery policy after the initial design style is approved, then we will issue a partial refund as per the proportion of the work completed.
  • If we have completed the project and uploaded it on the server, no refunds will be issued.

Web Programming

  • Full refund if the project has not yet started.
  • Every web programming project has an agreement. In case there is no agreement and explicit mention of the refund policy, the following delivery policy will be applicable.
  • A partial refund will be issued as per the discretion of the service provider if the project has not been completed as per the delivery policy and agreed upon contract. This will be calculated as per the proportion of the project completed by Build My Website and the proportion that is left to be completed as per the pre-defined scope of the project.

Dedicated Hiring (Offshore staffing solution)

Please note that Build My Website delivery commitment is subject to:

  • Full refund if the programmer/designer/content writer / SEO expert (or any other resource/staff) has not started the project.
  • The proportionate amount will be refunded if the client decides to cancel the order at any point in time.
  • No refund will be provided for the days the resource has already worked. If a client is not satisfied with the work at any point in time, he must immediately notify our Project Manager and ask for commitments towards discounts for the work loss. Any such negotiation at a later date will not be acceptable.

Applicability of the Delivery Policy

Please note that Build My Website’s delivery commitment is subject to:

  • Timely payments: A project is not considered to be void if the agreed-upon / listed payments are not clear.
  • Timely communication from the client: Build My Website is not bound to respect the Refund Policy if the required information for successful completion of the project is not communicated to us on time. Any delay or failure of the project arising out of such situations cannot be attributed to Build My Website.
  • Completeness of information provided by the client: If the information provided to Build My Website is incomplete and/or complete information/scope of the project is not provided at the beginning of the project, Build My Website is not bound to maintain its delivery and /or refund commitments.
  • Build My Website will not make any compensation for the delay of delivery under any circumstances unless there is a special agreement signed with a penalty clause for delay in delivery.

Limitation of Liability

  • Build My Website liability is limited to the value of the portion of the project (as per Build My Website’s proposal) which stands incomplete at any given point in time. At any point in time, Build My Website cannot be held responsible for losses arising out of the services delivered / not delivered or the delay in the same. The liability to refund arises only once the project has been canceled by the client and such cancellation has been communicated to Build My Website in writing.

Processing of Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed and mailed within 5 business days of the cancellation date and will be made using the same method of payment as the original (refund by check or refund to credit card).

Changes to The Policy

  • Build My Website may at any time, without notice to you and in its sole discretion, amend this policy from time to time. Please review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Build My Website’s website after any such amendments signifies your acceptance thereof.
